31 Days of Gratitude

2021 may have been the worst year I’ve had in a long time. As I talk with others, there is a similar thread no matter the differences. 2021 was a difficult, heartbreaking year for many. I wish that I could say that justice came flooding in and whatever was lost was restored but it has not happened yet. Perhaps you keep waiting for the tide to turn or a miracle, just like me. Yet, you keep waiting, yearning, praying, and seeking while heartache continues to unravel. ⁣

As a family we chose to let go and literally blow up the things we don’t want to bring with us in 2022! We decided to not allow the injustices, heartaches and pain from 2021 derail our 2022. Would you like to do the same? ⁣

Since fireworks are done and not everyone wants to light up fun explosives, I want to encourage you to get some poppers, something to smash or something to burn (safely of course). Write out what you don’t want derailing your new year. What do you need to let go of? Who do you need to forgive? Write it all out on whatever you want to pop, smash or burn and LET IT GO.⁣

Just like any time you let things go (give yourself a pat on the back or hug a loved one), it’s the perfect time to refocus on the TRUTH. What are you grateful for? Focus on that. Think about the goodness in what you have. Let it sink in deep. ⁣

Now, take it a step further, write it down and put it in a jar or a box. For the next 31 days I want to invite you to a daily challenge. Every day this month, write down one thing you are grateful for. It could be the smallest thing or it could be huge. Write it down! Taking an action towards gratitude will help refocus every part of your life. If you want to take it up a notch, show your gratitude to those you are thankful for.⁣

I am launching a 31 Days of Gratitude Challenge! Share in the comments, send me pictures of what actions you’ve taken… I want gratitude to grow immediately in 2022! ⁣

At the end of the challenge take time to read over each one you’ve written down and CELEBRATE! Notice how your perspectives have changed (I guarantee that you will see positive changes). As a way to celebrate, I will draw a winner for some prizes I’m working on collecting to whomever has participated in the 31 Days of Gratitude Challenge! ⁣

In order to qualify you must follow my page (follow me here) and show me by commenting, or sharing pictures or messages how you have completed a day of gratitude (make sure to use #31daysofgratitude2022 if you post a picture on social media). You don’t need to do all 31 days if you don’t get to it but those that do will be added into a grand prize drawing.⁣

Will you join me in 31 Days of Gratitude? ⁣

Today’s challenge is to destroy what you don’t want in 2022 (forgive, forgive, forgive) and to begin your first written gratitude to place in a jar or box. Share with me!

Be a gratitude warrior. ⁣
